Our Ministries

Listed below are just a few of our ministries.

Children and youth are a major part of our ministry.  We realize that our children are our hope and our future.  It is our goal to equip them with sound biblical truth to prepare them for their future. ZBC Children’s Ministry provides many programs for children from birth through 6th grade.  Our goal is to reach as many children within our church and community and share with them the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We have many creative and enthusiastic volunteers who work with our children each week.  Various programs are centered on children.  For more information on our Children's Ministry see ZBC Kids.

Our Student Ministry is designed for youth from 7th grade until they graduate high school.  Brother Jacob Waller is our Minister of Youth.  There are many programs designed to equip your teens for life and encourage them to share what they have learned with others.  For more information on our Student Ministry see Student Ministry.

Our Senior Adult Ministry is for anyone age 55 and over and is called JOY (Just Older Youth).  Throughout the year many activities are planned including overnight trips, site seeing tours, luncheons, etc.  You are never too old to enjoy fellowship with God’s people!

If you love to sing, like to sing or just enjoy making a joyful noise then our adult choir is for you!  Each Sunday morning our choir leads us in worship.  Special musical programs are also presented throughout the year.  Brother Larry Garlington is our Minister of Music and does an outstanding job. His love for the Lord and his dedication to this ministry are evident in each service.   Brother Larry and his wife Donna make a two hour drive (one way) each Sunday to serve in this ministry.  We are truly blessed to have them as part of our chuch family!

•  One of the most powerful tools we have available as Christians is prayer.  We have several different Prayer Ministries:

•  Our Prayer List includes requests made by or on behalf of those facing illness, surgery, those suffering the loss of loved ones and our men and women serving in the military.  This list is available online, in our weekly church bulletin, and is distributed each Sunday before our Morning Worship Service.

•  When urgent requests for prayer are received, our Prayer Chain is initiated.  The Prayer Chain is initiated by contacting our Pastor or James Shaddock.  Once the prayer chain is started and the initial contact is made, a series of phone calls are made, so that in a matter of minutes there are dozens of individuals praying for that specific need.

•  Standing in the Gap is designed specifically for our youth.  We realize youth face tremendous struggles each day and are in need of specific, intercessory prayer.   An adult volunteer is assigned a specific young person to pray for, stay in touch with and offer encouragement and support as needed.  If you would like to volunteer as a prayer partner and want to include a young person in this program, contact Brother Jacob.

•  Each Sunday morning at 9:00 am, a group gathers to pray for our services.  This group meets in Brother Nick's office.
